This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
The Cyber Interagency Transfer Authority (CITA) permits movement of CES employees appointed under Section 1599f of Title 10 U.S.C. and excepted service employees appointed under Schedule A, Section 213.3106(b)(11) of Title 5 CFR, into cyber workforce positions in the competitive service and movement of competitive service employees into DoD Cyber Workforce positions within the Military Departments and Defense Agencies.

- You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/PLCYPLAN) in the EXTERNAL SUPPORT DEPARTMENT (N9) at NAVAL COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS AREA MASTER STATION (NCTAMS).
- You will serve as the senior computer specialist functioning as the director of External Support.
- You will lead a large, multi-faceted team proving critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) services, secure communications, strategic network infrastructure, and direct operational support.
- You will create long-range ADP development plans in the areas of equipment, software, communications, contracting, facilities, security, and civilian personnel matters
- You will coordinate plans and operational actions with commands for the operation and support of installed systems.
- You will provide operational direction and guidance for the development of concepts, principles, techniques and operational planning for the transmission, receipt, and processing of classified intelligence and operational data.
- You will be responsible for monitoring, researching and keeping abreast of the latest developments in equipment, software, and concepts within the command, control, intelligence and communications.
- You will accomplish the full range of management functions, such as planning/directing/assigning responsibility in support of the External Support Department.
- You will communicate directly with the Commanding Officer regarding personnel status, work progress, problems/issues and recommend appropriate action.
