Summary

You will serve as the GG-15 Senior Intelligence Specialist for the U.S. Fleet Forces Command, N2/N39 Directorate of DIR, MARITIME OPERATIONS CTR, USFFC.

Duties

Help

  • Provide operational assessments to support critical intelligence work including theater security cooperation (TSC), foreign disclosure, intelligence analysis, special security, and collection management.
  • Responsible for providing timely, relevant, and actionable all-source intelligence analysis on a wide range of complex military and political issues in order to inform global force management (GFM); and Fleet and Joint operations missions.
  • Leverages expert technical understanding of high-end adversaries’ military capabilities, especially their command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
  • Provides substantive and organizational leadership to local Fleet intelligence entities, ensuring they are prepared for deployment and are informed with the latest intelligence.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-Year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:

  • Analyzing intelligence reports at the TS/SCI and Sub Gamma level;
  • Providing intelligence support to Special Access Programs (SAP);
  • Delivering intelligence briefs to Flag Officers and SES;
  • Conducting intelligence research on Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS);
