Duties

Help

  • You will conduct inspections, evaluations, inquiries, and reviews of command programs, operations, and functional areas to assess compliance, efficiency, effectiveness, and adherence to applicable policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • You will plan and execute on-site visits, interviews, document reviews, and fact-finding efforts to evaluated operations, gather relevant information and identify potential risks, deficiencies, or areas for improvement.
  • You will analyze complaints and allegations to =determine appropriate courses of action.
  • You will prepare reports, memorandums, briefings, and other written products that clearly document findings, supporting analysis, recommendation and corrective actions.
  • You will present findings and recommendations to command leadership, department heads, and program managers, and coordinate follow-up actions to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
  • You will monitor corrective action plans and track recommendations to closure to ensure sustained compliance and process improvement.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience assisting with inspections, evaluations, audits, investigations or administrative review by collecting data, reviewing documentation, conducting research, and supporting fact-finding efforts.
  • Experience applying knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, regulations, and operational processes to assess compliance and identify potential deficiencies, risks or areas for improvement.
  • Experiences supporting reviews involving military organizations, command structures, or complex organizational environments, including familiarity with applicable programs, operations, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience independently managing assigned projects, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely completion of tasks with minimal supervisory oversight.
  • Experience preparing reports, memorandums, case files, correspondence, and other written products that clearly document findings, recommendations and supporting analysis.
  • Experience utilizing effective oral and written communication skills to interact with leaderships, stakeholders, and personnel at various levels while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience analyzing information from multiple sources to identify trends, determine root causes, and develop recommendations for corrective actions or process improvements.
