U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service company, is seeking a proven industry professional experienced Ferry Crewmember shall serve as a member of a ferry boat crew, providing assistance in loading and unloading the vessel with vehicles; maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the loading, underway, and unloading processes; and adhering to all U.S. Coast Guard regulations while representing U.S. Facilities in a positive manner.

Core Responsibilities:
- Direct vehicles and passengers to the proper location with clearly understood signals during loading and unloading operations
- Ensure proper spacing between vehicles, allowing for safe egress of passengers
- Properly chock first and last vehicle in each lane
- Provide information and assistance to passengers
- Properly handle vessel lines as required
- Correctly stand lookout watch when required
- Properly patrol decks and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of assigned areas and empty trash
- Serve as emergency Helmsmen
- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain the safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of the vessel
- Be alert to security violations and suspicious behavior
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Perform security sweeps of the vessel between unloading and loading to ensure passenger access areas are clear of passengers and vehicles at the end of each passage
- Any other duties assigned by a supervisor or Project Manager.
- Demonstrate and routinely practice safety behaviors as a condition of employment
- Report all safety accidents, incidents, and/or concerns appropriately and in a timely manner
- Commit to being a trusted steward of public resources
- Act with integrity in all interactions and relationships in the work environment
- Report to work on time and prepared to work
- Maintain communication with supervisor
- Keep abreast of weather forecasts for duty readiness in reporting
- Be prepared to operate appropriate equipment in all kinds of weather conditions
- Experience performing manual labor with a variety of hand tools
- Experience participating in and performing emergency response activities
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and the public effectively and courteously
- Knowledge of seamanship, line handling, and marine terminology
- Valid driver’s license
- All new hires are required to get a Merchant Marine Credential – endorsed as AB or QMED within two (2) years of the date of hire
- High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience or training may substitute for education
- Merchant Marine Credentials, any endorsement
