Position: Inventory Associate
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Associate with experience in inventory control to join our team. The primary responsibilities include operating forklifts to transport materials and goods throughout the warehouse or facility, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
Hours: 6am-2:30pm (occasional overtime), Monday-Friday.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Handle production material.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by using forklifts or by hand as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and software systems ERP experience required.
- Ensure all products and materials are handled and stored correctly to avoid damages and losses.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols while operating forklifts and handling materials.
- Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection etc.
- Follow company procedures and directives.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned as required.
Skills and experience
- 5-10 years prior stand up & sit down forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
- Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- 1 year experience with an ERP system, Epicor prefered.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Neat and orderly execution of tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
