In this versatile role, you will be an essential part of our assembly operations, providing flexible support across various workstations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. Your mechanical aptitude and hands on skills will help maintain high quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain warehousing experience, develop your mechanical knowledge, and contribute to the creation of top tier elevator door equipment in a fast paced manufacturing facility .

Hours: Full-time: Typical schedule is Monday-Thursday 6:00am-3:00pm Friday: 6:00am-12:00pm. (occasional overtime). Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components into completed stages of door systems and related products.
  • Work from engineering specifications, blueprints, work orders, and general instructions to determine proper assembly procedures and methods.
  • Perform special or custom tasks within the assembly process as assigned.
  • Use hand and power tools including wrenches, rivet guns, nut drivers, drills, and other assembly equipment.
  • Perform in-process quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, completeness, and defects (including chipped edges, surface damage, misalignment, or improper fastening) and separate defective items.
  • Rotate between teams and departments as a floater based on production needs.
  • Accurately use computers and production systems as required for tracking jobs and documentation.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals and department performance metrics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and supervisory directives.
  • Manage time effectively, track deadlines, and prioritize tasks to support production schedules.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Independent self-starter.
  • Basic carpentry skills.
  • Skilled forklift/stacker operator.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs, with frequent lifting of up to 25llbs, on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand, walk and perform physical tasks for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
  • Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to work in a team environment and neatness are essential skills for this position.

Pay: $19.50 - $20.15 per hour
