Duties
- The duties of the Accountant consist of but are not limited to the following: Participate in daily operations of the Medical Center's accounting system and responsible for systematic verification and appraisal of records - reports - related transaction
- Maintain accounting records and accumulate cost data
- Prepare - review - and analyze accounting reports and statements
- Reviews and complete corrections for reconciliations
- Perform quarterly quality assurance reviews and monitor corrective actions taken
- Provide technical assistance to Accounting Technicians in the maintenance of the General Ledger in cost accounting functions
- Analyze and evaluate current general accounting methods and procedures in terms of adequacy and effectiveness
- Work Schedule: Full-time - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
- Position Description Title/PD#: Accountant/PD09046A - PD09049A - PD09048A - and PD09047A Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary - however there may be some walking - standing - bending - and carrying items such as papers and books
- Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory - qualification - and performance requirements are met
- Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Salary : $40,736 - $97,087
