Job Description

The candidate selected for this vacancy will be responsible for handling criminal appeals and civil appeals on behalf of the United States and its agencies, almost exclusively in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Appellate AUSAs draft briefs, motions, and responses and present oral argument before the Eleventh Circuit; these responsibilities require appellate AUSA to evaluate district-court proceedings, to analyze opposing briefs, to conduct legal research, and to develop compelling legal arguments, both orally and in writing.
