Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting with the receipt, storage, or issue of stocks or ammunition supplies; 2) Maintaining documentation related to the inventory or disposal of ammunition; AND 3) Assisting with coordinating or conducting inventories. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Utilize spreadsheets and/or queries to support inventories and/or other requests.
- Maintain stock record account for ammunition supplies.
- Maintain requisitioning objectives to provide adequate stocks of ammunition based on forecasted requirements.
- Analyze the results of applying guidelines and/or recommends changes.
- Prepare documentation for the disposal of ammunition residue.
Conditions of employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the ability to possess an adjudicated Tier 3 background investigation, for non-critical sensitive, moderate risk positions.
- This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential.
- This position may require a one year probationary period. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

- Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years.
