Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Landscape Supply Yard Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their gardening needs. You will work in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, based on their needs and preferences.
- Manage Deliveries
- Manage Inventory
- Provide knowledgeable advice on plant care, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques.
- Maintain the appearance of the garden center by organizing displays, watering plants, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with team members to create visually appealing displays that promote seasonal products and specials.
- Stay informed about new products, trends in gardening, and best practices in customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Knowledge of gardening, plant care, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Multilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse customer base effectively.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is beneficial.
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills in English, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
