Summary

This position is located at the Destin Army Recreation Area which is a part of Fort Benning Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR).

This is a flexible position working 2 shifts per week, or up to 20 hours weekly. Must be available to work overnight shifts.

United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties

Help

  • Performs night audit functions. Checks front desk accounting records for accuracy, and, on a daily basis, summarizes and compiles information for the hotel's financial records.
  • Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front desk operating statistics. Prepares daily summary of cash, check, and credit card activities reflecting the hotel's financial performance.
  • Post room charges to guest accounts. Processes credit card vouchers.
  • Verifies all account postings and balances made during the day by front desk clerks. Performs duties as desk clerk in terms of check-in/out, and reservations.

Qualifications

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following

  • One year of work experience performing duties similar to those described above.
    • Examples of such duties would be those associated with working as a desk clerk or as an accounting technician.
  • Ability to use a computer for word processing or data entry.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

  • Possess one (1) year experience of working retail inventory, preparing bank slip and maintain financial records.
  • Possess two (2) years experience handling cash and working as a Lodging/Hotel Front Desk Clerk.

**Those applicants that meet the highly preferred criteria will be referred to management first. If no selection is made from the highly preferred applicants, applicants that meet the minimum qualifications will be sent to management. **

Allowances and Differentials

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
