- Performs a wide variety of technical support in a generalist capacity needed to administer the NAF Personnel Program, but work is focused primarily in the areas of recruitment and placement, background check initiation and tracking.
- Conducts pre-employment screenings, reference checks, initiates background checks and federal investigations.
- Assists selectees during pre-employment process and regularly keeps the selectee and management appraised of status.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical work such as using office automation to type a variety of documents; compiles information from reports, creates and maintains folders and respond to applicant or management inquiries.
Conditions of employment

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- This is a CHRA NAF Career Path I position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path I within eighteen (18) months of entrance into CHRA Career Path I.

- Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources profession which demonstrates the capability to perform a variety of recruitment functions, such as posting vacancy announcements and rating applicants for qualifications and eligibility.
- Possess experience utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system (i.e. USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft, etc.
- Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and the ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.
