Please ensure that your resume includes the following: o Relevant experience o Organizational experience o Supervisory experience o Current Security Clearance (SECRET, TOP SECRET (TS), TS-SCI) o Degree (If applicable) Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking a full-time Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist to work in the Minuteman III (MMIII) Ground Electrical Hardware Section, MMIII Systems Division, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate at Hill AFB, UT. This position (286103) is an NH-346-03, which has a typical 2026 salary range of $89,508 - $138,370. *Recruitment, Relocation, Retention, and Student Loan Incentives may be authorized. The Minuteman III (MMIII) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) System provides the strategic deterrent to nuclear attack against the United States. This position is integral to the success of the MMIII weapon system and the continued support of the ground-based leg of the nation’s nuclear triad. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (Hardware Section Chief) for MMIII Ground Electrical Hardware section. This position is responsible for development and sustainment of ground electronics for all operational and test launch facilities for the MMIII weapon system. The Hardware Section designs, and/or reviews the designs of others, for sustainment and modifications of Communications / Command & Control, Power, Codes (Cryptography), and Security equipment for the MMIII weapon system. DUTIES:
Serves as a first & second-level supervisor, performing typical personnel management tasks, such as: assigning and managing work; organizing and conducting training; acquiring necessary resources to meet goals, requirements and accomplish the mission; and providing feedback and evaluations for assigned employees.
Mentors, leads, guides, directs engineers, logisticians and equipment specialists within the hardware section on technical issues; assures that assigned employees work as a cohesive team; and provides employees with opportunities that foster professional career development.
Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; possesses the independence, assertiveness, self-reliance, and tenacity to get the job done.
Continually engages with an extended and geographically dispersed team including subject matter experts from across the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, other Air Force organizations, the ICBM Integration Support Contractor, Ground Sustainment Support Contractor, and others to ensure sustainment activities are successfully planned, coordinated, and executed.
Plans, advises, organizes, and directs technical requirements for the organization’s assigned programs. During the various phases of the program life cycle, ensures adequate logistics coverage is provided in all planning and programming documents, facilitates requirements generation, and develops/updates appropriate logistics and acquisition strategy documents.
Proactively develops and presents engineering technical briefings and reports to program stakeholders and senior leaders. SKILLS:
Knowledge of logistics program management, managerial support initiatives, and acquisition policy and procedures, is highly desired.
Knowledge of the development and implementation of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements throughout a system’s life cycle, with an emphasis on sustaining logistics is preferred for this position.
This position typically requires a flexible work schedule and strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders to meet mission requirements is highly preferred.
ICBM experience is highly desired.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships, building consensus and coalitions, negotiating, and resolving conflicts with a variety of stakeholders and their organizations as well as communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
U.S. CITIZENSHIP
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Life Cycle Logistics “Foundational” Level certification within 36 months of appointment.
