Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical, suspension, brakes, and steering.
- Conduct wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure optimal vehicle safety features.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems.
- Replace or repair components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools.
- Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify quality and functionality before returning them to customers.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service center experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrain components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and GM vehicle systems is a plus.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with a customer-focused attitude for delivering exceptional service.
- Valid automotive service technician certification or equivalent experience; ASE certification preferred.
