U-Haul is seeking a candidate with a strong background in Automation, Linux, Kubernetes, Scripting, and Load Balancing.
For local candidates, this is a hybrid position that requires you to be onsite at our corporate campus in Midtown Phoenix.

Primary Responsibilities
- Leverage new and already adopted technologies to help Teams achieve their automation goals.
- Independently or collaboratively drive assigned project work to completion.
- Provide support for existing automation solutions.
- Provide automation assistance and solution guidance to other Teams working on their automation.
- Work with security compliance teams, ensuring solutions adhere to HIPAA, SOX and PCI-DSS requirements.
- Provide input on solution designs and security policies.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (will consider technical training/job experience equivalents).
- 4 years of IT experience with 2 years of IT Systems Administration experience.
- Enterprise experience with Linux Operating Systems such as Ubuntu, OEL, and RHEL.
- Enterprise experience with automation technologies such as Ansible/AWX, Terraform.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Java.
- Comfortable with data serialization and markup languages such as YAML, JSON, XML, and HTML.
- Experience using Source Control (Git, SVN, TFVC).
- Experience with load balancing solutions like Big-IP, Nginx, KEMP, or cloud based.
- Ability to leverage authentication technologies like Active Directory, Entra, LDAP, SAML, and DUO in new and existing solutions.
- A solid grasp of Core IT knowledge (subnetting, ports, firewalls, NAT, DNS, OSI Layers).
- Fluent English and high oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan work out in advance, scheduling approval for changes with proper communication.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Ability to interact with various levels of professionals and business customers.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
- Ability to independently research, design, implement, document, and hand off a solution.
- Enterprise experience with the design, implementation, or maintenance of the Kubernetes platform.
