What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator position at U-Haul?
U-Haul is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the IT Site Reliability team supporting virtual servers, IIS web servers, network storage, Active Directory, and more.
This is a remote position for those outside of Arizona (you must reside in the U.S.). If you reside in the Phoenix, AZ area, this will be a hybrid position.

Duties
- Assist with hosting and troubleshooting IIS/.NET application issues alongside developers
- Supporting virtual environments using VMware vCenter
- Monitor and resolve SQL issues
- Monitor critical infrastructure and applications using monitoring solutions like SolarWinds, Dynatrace, and ExtraHop
- Perform administrative tasks on Windows and Linux servers, including patching, reviewing logs, and software installation/configuration
- Provide Active Directory support for users and computers along with managing permissions and groups
- Provide support with network shares and permissions
- Monitor and respond to incoming issues via Teams and email
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support after hours and weekends

- 1 years experience working in a virtualized environment, like vCenter/ESXi or Hyper-V
- Basic PowerShell knowledge
- Starting salary: $85,000 annually
