- Must have 1 year work experience in industrial maintenance
- Must have complete work history or resume attached to application. If the information is not listed applicants will not be considered.
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
- Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
- Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handles emergencies.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
- Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
- Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Able to perform diagnoses and repairs without supervision.
- Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
- Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
- The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
- Lifting will also be required, and depending on the department could be up to 70lbs.
- Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than three times.
- Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
