Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring materials are moved/transported throughout the facility as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Move product as directed using pallet jacks, forklifts or other means.
- Reading/reviews work orders and follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved, counted, weighed, put away and recorded.
- Safely opens containers, using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer or other hand tools.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
- Cleans work area, machines and equipment, using broom, rags and other products.
- Updates database records as required; participate in all department and company training sessions and meetings.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners within facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
- Must be willing to work in cold temperatures ranging from 20 to 36 degrees.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Assist in stocking and on assembly line on a regular basis, lifting to 90lbs with assistance

- Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, twist, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach.
- Must be willing and able to lift, push, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. in many areas of production.
- Must be willing to work in cold temperatures ranging from 20 to 36 degrees.
- Ability to safely operate foot and hand controls with good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment and frequently twist/turns to check surroundings.
- Ability to repeatedly climb in and out of forklift equipment.
- Ability to maintain the level of awareness necessary to safely operate a forklift around people, equipment, and moving vehicles, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Candidates must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
