Registered Nurse – Surgery Center

Tyson Eye has been providing exceptional service in SWFL for over 45 years. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to assist in our Accredited Surgery Center in Cape Coral. He/she is

the patient advocate and assures that quality care is administered. This position will report to the ASC Manager. Full-time, part-time or PRN opportunities available.

Education and Job Experience:

• Registered and must have their license to practice in the state of Florida.
• Maintain re-licensure requirements.
• One-year experience in a surgical specialty, ICU or related field preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certified.
  
  
  

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Plans for patient care. Oversees the Patient Care Technician.
• Assists in the proper preparation of supplies, equipment and medication involved in patient care.
• Administers medication as ordered and according to facility and DEA policy and procedures.
• Makes post-operative telephone calls.
• Starts and discontinues intravenous lines and documents appropriately. Regulates and documents infusion.
• Performs treatments and/or procedures as instructed.
• Establish nursing goals based on nursing diagnosis and evaluate outcome.
• Assists in organizing and developing policies and procedures and plans for improvement.
