Responsibilities
- Greet patients and create a warm, welcoming experience
- Guide patients through the optical department and manage patient flow
- Receive patient charts from doctors/technicians and help ensure a smooth handoff to the optical team
- Notate basic recommendations or needs and help keep patients moving while opticians are assisting others
- Clean, adjust, and perform minor repairs on glasses (training provided)
- Replace nose pads and assist with basic frame care
- Notify patients when glasses or orders are ready
- Handle contact lens (CL) order-only transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical area
- Support opticians by assisting with non-dispensing tasks
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
