Working alongside the Industrial Maintenance Technician, this position performs preventive maintenance, routine repairs, equipment inspections, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections in accordance with established maintenance schedules.
- Assist the Industrial Maintenance Technician with troubleshooting and repair of production machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and correct basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues within the employee level of training; escalate complex problems as appropriate.
- Remove, replace, adjust, and install common mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and approved maintenance equipment.
- Support maintenance activities on commercial presses, autoclaves, water jets, overhead cranes, CNC cutters, sewing/cutting equipment, and related facility systems.
- Respond to routine maintenance requests and assist with minimizing equipment downtime.
- Complete work orders and document preventive maintenance, repairs, parts used, equipment condition, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain maintenance tools, spare parts, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, automotive/heavy equipment, facilities maintenance, or comparable hands-on mechanical experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems and basic troubleshooting practices.
- Exposure to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, or automation systems preferred.
- Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, diagrams, work instructions, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Basic computer skills and ability to document completed maintenance activities; CMMS experience preferred but not required.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow established troubleshooting and escalation processes.
- Good communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school, technical certification, apprenticeship, or related college coursework preferred.
