What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hard Armor Manufacturing Assistant position at TYR Tactical?
Summary of Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Hard Armor Supervisor, assists in the tracking, manufacturing, and finishing of Hard Armor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain operational data such as Manufacturing Order Numbers, Part Numbers, and Ballistic Lot Numbers.
- Print serialized ballistic labels for plates and shields.
- Assist in the documentation and tracking of manufacturing orders as they go through the manufacturing process.
- Assist in the requests and delivery of hardware and other material to Hard Armor teams.
- Assist in the inspection and cleaning of finished goods for shipment.
- Maintain up to date training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Work on the manufacturing floor assisting the Hard Armor team with regular needs to support production flow.
- Operate a forklift to move material, parts, and equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and follow procedures
- Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Intermediate computer skills (Software & database entry)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work flow
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision and work within a group setting
