Contracting Coordinator

Summary of Position: TYR Tactical is seeking a Contract Specialist/Technical Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing contract assignments in support of local or centralized procurement activity or in the audit/review of that activity and produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of TYR.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive contract review and evaluation with attention to detail and the ability to identify risks to the company.
• Interpret contract requirements and contract change impacts.
• Develop a contract position and articulate that position to government and commercial customers.
• Work with and communicate effectively with senior management to solve contractual issues.
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Assist the Contracting Officer and other Executives as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience related to professional procurement and contracting, including the drafting of complex contracts, provisions, and solicitation documents.
• Experience with government contracts highly preferred.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them understandable, relatable, and visual utilizing both text and pictures.
• Exceptional communication and writing skills (English).
• Efficient, accurate, and trustworthy work habits.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
