- UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities
- The Clinical Coordinator RN will be vital in providing specialized wound care and assessments, patient admission assessments, and discharge assessments at UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Hospital.
- Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this position focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, coordinating with case management, the charge nurse and staff nurse, and the therapy department to ensure a seamless patient experience from admission to discharge.
- The Clinical Coordinator RN, in collaboration with the charge nurse, will assist in patient room assignments to provide well-divided patient acuity levels across the nursing units.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Associate of nursing or higher from an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas and good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
- ACLS
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care and patient assessments
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) certification
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting
- Experience in case management coordination
