- UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patientcare for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse assiststhe Cardiologist with procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This includes both Cardiovascularstudies/interventions as well as Special Procedure studies/interventions.
- The patient population contains adults,and geriatric patients. Ionizing Radiation is utilized to perform these studies as well as other imaging modalities.
- On-Call is required and the employee must be able to respond and arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes.
- The Registered nurse is responsible for direct patient care during the procedure.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Must maintain current Texas RN License.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
