ABOUT
This part-time position offers up to 18 hours per week and requires flexibility to support a variety of classroom and testing environments.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide real-time note-taking services in classroom, lecture, and laboratory settings.
- Deliver transcription and copy-typing services as requested.
- Create and edit closed captions for audiovisual materials.
- Provide test-reading and test-proctoring services in accordance with approved accommodations.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional support services to students with varying accessibility needs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure effective delivery of accommodations.
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to provide high-quality notetaking and captioning services for students with diverse disabilities in a postsecondary educational environment.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard office software applications.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to think independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative to complete assignments successfully.
