office. This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented designer with a strong
background in electrical sign design and hands-on experience producing accurate,
fabrication-ready drawings. The Sign Designer will work closely with engineering, sales,
and production teams to bring client concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Design custom electrical and illuminated signs from concept through final production
- Create detailed design layouts, shop drawings, and visual presentations
- Ensure designs comply with electrical, structural, and local code requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine designs for manufacturability
- Revise and update drawings based on client feedback and production needs
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- 5–6 years of professional experience designing electrical signs
- Strong understanding of illuminated sign components and construction methods
- Proven experience creating production-ready sign designs
- Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, Monday–Friday, 9–5
- Portfolio or examples of previous sign design work required
- Proficiency with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, or similar programs)
- Experience working in a sign manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
