About the Role:
The Structural Engineer will play a key role in the design, analysis, and oversight of a variety of projects including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. Candidates will also have the opportunity to work on Local Law 11 façade inspection and repair projects, gaining hands-on experience with NYC building regulations and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects
- Conduct and oversee Local Law 11 façade inspections and prepare engineering reports
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and reports
- Conduct site inspections and provide professional recommendations
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with NYC Building Code, Local Law 11, and other applicable standards
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to professional development within the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain in New York
- 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience, including building envelope, high-rise, or specialty structure projects
- Experience with Local Law 11 inspections and façade remediation projects a strong plus
- Proficiency with structural analysis software and strong technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management abilities
