Job Title: Senior Site Safety Manager – Electrical / Mission Critical Projects
Overview:
Our client is one a renowned mission critical and commercial electrical contractor with it's headquarters in Portland, and 5 additional locations across the US. they have over half a century of successful business under their belts, and are looking to expand their Boise, ID team to support exciting mission critical projects. This is a permanent role, and we're looking for someone who is committed to becoming a loyal member of the team, with strong previous tenure highly desirable. As a Site Safety Manager, you will oversee HSE practices across complex electrical construction projects, ensuring work is planned and executed safely to protect personnel, assets, and the public. Collaborate with project leadership and field teams to embed safety into all phases of construction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or equivalent certification (e.g., CSP).
- 5–7 years’ experience in commercial/industrial electrical construction safety, preferably within data center, mission critical, or healthcare projects
- Employment at electrical speciality contractor highly preferred, but general contractor or owners rep background welcome if electrical expertise is strong.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, NFPA 70E, and industry standards.
Core Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of high-risk construction activities (excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, cranes, confined spaces).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor on-site safety personnel; manage performance and training.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Develop and review project-specific safety plans; coordinate with contractors and teams.
- Deliver safety training and promote continuous improvement in safety culture.
- Support emergency response and maintain readiness outside standard hours.
