Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a well-respected architecture & engineering firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & provide direction on mechanical engineering projects across a wide range of market sectors from commercial to healthcare, from concept to completion in compliance with industry standards
- Oversee the production of all phases of construction documents including schematic documents, design documents, construction documents, bidding and construction administration
- Perform business development functions, including marketing and networking & maintain involvement in professional organizations
- Provide input to department standards and procedures
- Collaborate directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams (electrical, architecture, civil) to deliver integrated solutions
- Conduct facility assessments, field assessments and engineering studies, and perform commissioning work and site visits
- Provide mentorship & guidance to project team members to assist in their professional growth and development
- Foster positive communication among team members and across disciplines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering for buildings
- Subject matter expertise in building mechanical systems & strong problem solving ability
- Excellent communication, leadership & organization skills
- PE License (required)
- LEED AP and/or ASHRAE accreditation (preferred)
Salary: $125,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience comprehensive benefits & unique offerings
