Title: Senior Building Envelope Consultant / Senior Associate

Location: Seattle

Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 (DOE)

A national consulting firm specializing in building performance, construction advisory, and technical due diligence is seeking a Senior Building Envelope Consultant to join its growing Washington team.

This role will focus on leading building enclosure investigations, condition assessments, and consulting assignments for a range of commercial properties. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial evaluation through technical reporting and repair or design recommendations while acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead building envelope consulting projects across façade, roofing, and waterproofing systems.
• Conduct and oversee field investigations, diagnostic testing, and condition assessments of existing buildings.
• Review construction documents and analyze building performance issues to identify root causes.
• Prepare technical reports outlining findings and recommended remediation strategies.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables while coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.
• Maintain client relationships and support proposal development and new project opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 15 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or building enclosure consulting.
• Professional licensure (RA or PE) strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of building enclosure systems and construction practices.
• Experience with forensic investigations, condition assessments, or enclosure consulting highly desirable.
• Ability to lead projects and communicate technical findings clearly to clients.
