Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary
- Drive with precision and adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations, including those specific to manual transmission vehicles
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies
- Manage route driving schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency
- Ensure proper securing of freight on various truck types to prevent damage during transit
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, delays, or issues encountered on the road
Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed)
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route driving
- Hands-on experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not mandatory if willing to learn
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment such as forklifts or roll-off mechanisms
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight transportation
- Prior experience working with various cargo types including refrigerated goods, heavy loads on flatbeds, or hazardous materials is a plus

Pay: $1.94 - $5.00 per mile
