Commercial Driver's License Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, load & unload procedures, and vehicle maintenance will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Duties

• Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment.
• Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Drive route schedules efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Manage documentation related to freight movement, including delivery receipts, logs, and inspection reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries, providing exceptional service throughout the process.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly for repairs.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL license; knowledge of manual transmission preferred.
• Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
• Strong understanding of load & unload procedures and freight handling safety standards.
• Ability to drive long hours on route driving assignments while maintaining alertness and safety consciousness.
• Skilled in operating auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight.
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and safety compliance. Pay: $34.50 - $40.25 per hour
