What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Truck Driver - Grain & Agricultural Hauling position at TY GB JY INC?
Job Responsibilities
- Haul grain and agricultural commodities to and from farms, grain elevators, mills, and other facilities
- Transport grain during planting and harvest seasons
- Safely load and unload grain
- Complete required paperwork, scale tickets, and delivery documentation accurately
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep assigned truck and trailer clean and well maintained
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Communicate with dispatch, elevator staff, farmers, and other team members
- Assist around the grain elevator or farm when needed
- Work additional hours during busy planting and harvest seasons
Qualifications
- Valid CDL required
- Clean and acceptable driving record
- Previous grain, hopper bottom, agricultural, or commercial driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in an agricultural environment
- Willing to work longer hours during harvest and other peak seasons
- Must take pride in maintaining and caring for company equipment
Salary : $45,000 - $75,000
