TX-STAR Speech Language Services partners with school districts across Texas to provide students with individualized speech and language support. We are currently seeking Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants for school-based opportunities in the Austin area.

These positions are ideal for professionals who enjoy working with students in educational settings and want to strengthen communication development under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, you will help deliver structured speech and language services while working closely with the supervising SLP and other members of the educational team.

In this role, you will:

  • Carry out speech and language therapy activities established by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Provide structured interventions that support communication goals outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs

  • Work with students who have needs related to articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, and other communication areas

  • Collect session data and assist with documenting student participation and progress

  • Prepare therapy resources, instructional activities, and materials for scheduled services

  • Maintain organized service records and complete assigned documentation within required timelines

  • Coordinate with teachers, special education personnel, and student-support teams

  • Follow supervision requirements, therapy plans, district procedures, and applicable compliance standards

Qualifications for This Position

  • Current Texas license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field

  • Ability to provide services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Valid Texas driver’s license when travel between campuses is required

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
