At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with diverse physical and developmental needs. We are currently hiring Physical Therapists (PTs) for school-based opportunities in the San Antonio area.
This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about helping students improve mobility, independence, and access to their educational environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Physical Therapist in a school setting, you will support students’ physical development and functional mobility through individualized therapy services.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide physical therapy services aligned with IEP goals
Evaluate students’ motor skills, mobility, and physical functioning
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Deliver therapy services in-person and/or via teletherapy
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Support students in safely accessing classroom environments and activities
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute recommendations
What You’ll Need
Active Texas Physical Therapy license
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations is a plus
Strong understanding of IEP processes and school-based services
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and organizational skills
