Tasting Room Support: Barback

Position Overview:

The Barback at Two Roads Brewing Company plays a vital role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable experience! Working closely with the Bartending Team, the Barback helps maintain smooth operations and provides essential support to keep our Tasting Room running seamlessly.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Tasting Room Manager and collaborates closely with the entire Tasting Room team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Bartenders: Provide direct support to bartenders to optimize service speed and quality.
• Inventory Management: Regularly restock and organize bar inventory, replace kegs and CO2 tanks, and rotate products to ensure availability.
• Bar Setup & Cleanup: Ensure bar areas are well-prepared for service and promptly cleaned afterward.
• Guest Engagement: Share knowledge about Two Roads beers, accurately describe flavors, and answer guest questions with enthusiasm.
• Monitor Safety: Recognize signs of intoxication and communicate any guest concerns to bartenders for appropriate action.
• Event Assistance: Support the team during larger events, such as Ok2berfest, Shore 2 the Pour, and various mini-festivals.
• General Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of all guest and staff areas, including bathrooms and bar spaces, ensuring a polished and welcoming environment.
• Glassware & Waste Management: Clean and replace glassware, bus tables, empty waste receptacles, and keep bar areas organized.
• Cross-Functional Support: Assist other areas of the business, including the Company Store, Food Hall, and provide operational support to enhance the customer experience.

Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Passion for craft beer and an eagerness to share it with guests.
• TIPs certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of start).
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, team-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 60 pounds.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
