Two Rivers Supervisory Union (TRSU) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Buildings, Grounds, and Security to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational integrity of district facilities and grounds. This leadership position plays a key role in ensuring safe, functional, and well-maintained learning environments across the schools within the supervisory union. This is a year-round salary position.
Key Responsibilities
•Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, heating, and other mechanical systems across district facilities.
•Support school facility directors in supervising and training custodial staff.
•Plan, estimate, and manage building maintenance and improvement projects.
•Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors.
•Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies and materials.
•Collaborate with the Business Manager to manage building maintenance and repair budgets.
•Assist with identifying and writing grants to support facility and infrastructure needs.
•Oversee district-wide school bus maintenance operations, including inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and compliance with transportation safety regulations.
•Ensure facilities meet applicable safety standards and codes, including life safety systems such as fire alarms and extinguishers.
•Assist with general building maintenance and grounds-related needs as required.
Qualifications
•High school diploma plus 6–8 years of relevant technical training and/or experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Strong expertise in electrical, plumbing, or heating system installation, maintenance, and repair.
•Working knowledge of building construction, security systems, mechanical systems, and grounds maintenance.
•Experience with project planning, cost estimation, and contractor coordination.
•Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, supervise staff, and coordinate district-wide operations.
•Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform physical work including standing, walking, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Work may occur indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and mechanical environments.
Supervision
This Supervisory Union–level position reports to the Superintendent and Business Manager and works collaboratively with school principals and facility directors across the district.
