The Role
As our Studio Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our studios, lead the team, and ensure every client experiences the Two of a Kind standard. This role is equal parts operations, leadership, and hospitality. We're looking for an exceptional Studio Manager to help us grow while preserving what makes Two of a Kind special.
You'll partner closely with the Founder to ensure our studios run seamlessly, our team feels supported, and our standards continue to rise as we grow. This is an ideal role for someone who loves developing people, improving operations, and building a culture where both employees and clients thrive. We're looking for someone who's excited to take ownership and help build the next chapter of Two of a Kind.
Two of a Kind currently has one studio in Santa Monica and plans to open our second studio later this year. This role will be responsible for overseeing operations at both locations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple studios
- Lead, coach, and develop the in-studio team
- Manage scheduling, payroll approval, and staffing
- Hire, onboard, and train front desk staff and brow artists
- Resolve escalated client concerns with professionalism and care
- Manage inventory, supplies, maintenance, and vendor relationships
- Monitor studio performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Help refine systems, processes, and training materials as we grow
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
- Ensure standards and systems are consistently executed across all studios
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience managing hourly employees in a customer-facing business
- Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
- Strong operational mindset with experience managing business metrics and improving performance
- Comfortable balancing people leadership with operational execution
- Exceptional emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust, navigate difficult conversations, and lead with empathy and accountability
- Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Calm under pressure with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable giving direct feedback, holding team members accountable, and recognizing great performance
- Experience in hospitality, luxury retail, premium fitness, restaurants, med spas, or another service-based business
- Experience managing multiple locations is a plus
- Beauty industry experience is not required, but a passion for beauty is a plus!
