Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia by implementing specialized techniques and maintaining a safe environment
- Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with heavy lifting and transfers; utilize patient monitoring devices effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning tasks and ensure a safe, hygienic environment at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and patient observation
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required; additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is a plus
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility; comfort operating medical equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Compassionate attitude dedicated to providing respectful, person-centered care that promotes independence and dignity
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
