Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Franchised hospitality property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hotel management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing all aspects of hotel operations, including staff supervision, revenue management, guest relations, and financial oversight. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions and team communication. The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hospitality, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments
- Lead and supervise staff to ensure excellent guest service and adherence to company policies
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy rates through effective revenue management techniques
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, and expense control to meet organizational goals
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards across the property
- Handle guest relations issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular staff training on customer service, phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems, and other operational procedures
- Oversee night audit processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Coordinate with human resources for hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee development programs
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, leadership growth, and hospitality excellence
- Monitor guest reviews and feedback to continuously improve service quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality management roles with supervising responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations including front desk management, guest services, resort operations, and night audit procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse staff members
- Proficiency in revenue management strategies and budgeting processes
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality standards
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities preferred to facilitate communication with diverse guests and staff
- Experience with human resources functions such as hiring, training, and performance management
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and professional phone etiquette
- Previous experience working in a resort or similar hospitality setting is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
