Freelance Set Designer – Social Media Studio

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a creative set designer to craft custom, modular sets specifically for TikTok and Instagram Reels production. The position involves designing and building three distinct standing sets: a realistic jail/prison cell, a modern coffee shop, and a bank interior. Each set must be optimized for short-form vertical video, balancing on-camera realism with practical studio use. The designer will collaborate closely with a social media production team to deliver visually compelling environments that enhance content quality and audience engagement. The project is based in Saint Petersburg, FL, with flexibility for remote design collaboration, though on-site presence is preferred for the build phase. Initial designs are required within one week of hire, with set construction to follow over the subsequent three weeks. There is potential for ongoing collaboration on future set projects.

Deliverables

• Design and construct three modular standing sets: jail/prison cell, coffee shop, and bank interior, tailored for vertical video.
• Source materials, build set structures, paint, detail, and dress with basic props to achieve realistic on-camera appearance.
• Ensure sets are modular for flexible filming, easy storage, and repeated studio use.
• Integrate lighting design to optimize visual impact for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Provide initial design concepts within one week of hire; complete set builds within three weeks.
