Freelance Photographer

Join an exciting project capturing high-quality food photography for restaurant menus in Tallahassee, FL. This role is ideal for a photographer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for showcasing culinary creations. You will be responsible for on-location shoots inside various restaurants, working efficiently in dynamic environments to deliver visually compelling images of entrées, desserts, beverages, and all menu items. The images will be used for delivery apps, printed menus, and marketing materials. You must be comfortable styling food, adapting to mixed lighting, and collaborating with kitchen staff in tight spaces. All shoots require you to bring your own professional photography kit, including cameras, lenses, and lighting or tethering equipment. No post-production is required; you will deliver RAW files according to the provided process. This is a time-sensitive opportunity for photographers based in or able to reliably travel to Tallahassee, with the potential for future assignments.

Deliverables

• Capture high-resolution, color-accurate images of all menu items, including entrées, desserts, and beverages
• Style and arrange food to highlight presentation and appeal
• Work efficiently on-site, adapting to restaurant environments and mixed lighting conditions
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and access to dishes
• Provide all RAW image files promptly after each session, following the specified delivery process
• Supply and manage your own photography equipment throughout the assignment
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in food photography, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in restaurant or menu shoots
• Proficiency in using professional camera equipment, lenses, and lighting setups
• Ability to style food and select optimal angles for visual impact
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, space-limited restaurant settings
• Reliable transportation to and from Tallahassee, FL
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Must provide own photography kit (camera, lenses, lighting, tethering equipment)
