Position Summary

Twin Vee PowerCats is seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Controller to lead all accounting operations for our growing manufacturing organization. • Assist in SEC reporting (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and XBRL tagging) and support quarterly earnings release preparation.
  • Manage internal and external audits under PCAOB standards and maintain a SOX-ready control environment.
  • Supervise all core accounting functions — GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, and cost accounting.
  • Lead the cost accounting and inventory control process, ensuring accuracy across production lots, WIP, and material flows.
  • Develop, document, and enforce internal control policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis process; provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Partner with operations to streamline production and inventory reporting through the company’s ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting processes, leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools.
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering accountability and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally in manufacturing or public-company settings.
  • Proven experience managing cost accounting, inventory, and ERP implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with SEC reporting standards.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems required; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
