What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Director position at Twin Valley Middle/High School?
The Athletic Director will oversee and coordinate all athletic programs for the Twin Valley Unified School District, including scheduling, compliance, budget oversight, and supervision of coaches. The Athletic Director will also work to build upon and carry forward TVMHS’s proud tradition of championship-level athletics, promoting excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and school pride across all programs. Additional responsibilities include organizing transportation and game logistics, overseeing athletic facilities and equipment, supporting student-athlete academic eligibility, coordinating communication with families and the community, ensuring compliance with VPA and district policies, assisting with hiring and evaluation of coaches, developing athletic schedules, managing event supervision, promoting positive student participation, and fostering a culture that supports both competitive success and strong character development for all student-athletes.
The contract is for a part-time position equivalent to 0.5 FTE. The 0.5 FTE equates to 100 workdays, unless otherwise agreed upon. The final distribution of time (daily, weekly, seasonal) will be determined by mutual agreement between the Athletic Director and the TVMHS Principal based on the needs of the athletic programs and school schedule.
