Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide personalized wine tastings and recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the wine room to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with menu planning for wine pairings and special events to enhance guest experiences
- Educate guests on different wine varieties, regions, and tasting notes to foster appreciation and knowledge
- Handle POS transactions accurately using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and receipt processing
- Upsell wines and related products to meet sales goals while providing excellent customer service
- Support catering and banquet functions by preparing wine selections and serving during events with professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food service environments, especially in fine dining or catering settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, with experience in cashiering and food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that engages guests effectively
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards within the food industry
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction
- Previous banquet or catering experience is highly desirable, along with serving or food handling expertise
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred to better understand pairing options and enhance guest interactions
