BASIC FUNCTION
The Coordinator of ECE will provide management services within the areas of early childhood education programs and child development. This position will coordinate the implementation of programs as required by the regulations, program standards, and/or milestones of specific funding sources. A major function will be to provide site support to principals and/or staff for one or more child development program sites.

- Assist the Director of ECE in maintaining regulatory compliance with applicable district, county, state and federal regulations.
- Provide curricular and instructional leadership for children center and early childhood education programs.
- Monitor enrollment and attendance procedures for children center and early childhood education programs.
- Supervise and evaluate certificated and classified early childhood education staff and children center staff at assigned sites.
- Coordinate activities to enhance and increase parent and community involvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of the content of employee contracts with employee organizations and the ability to administer the terms of those contracts.
- Meet contract requirements through data collection, analysis and report writing
- Create and present information to the Board of Trustees, district staff, and other community based organizations
- Collaborate with community based organizations to expand services to children and families
- Coordinate the development and implementation of professional development for early childhood programs and children’s center staff.
- Act as a liaison with appropriate district staff and community based organizations.
- Attend funding source contractor meetings as assigned.
- Coordinate self study/ self assessment and the related program/contract reports for ECE/CD programs at assigned sites.
- Attend evening and weekend community events as assigned.
- Maintain budgets based on state and federal regulations.· To carry out other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- Principles, practices, procedures, rules, codes, regulations, techniques and strategies of district and assigned areas of instruction.
- Familiar with organization and coordination techniques utilized by purchasing and warehouse.
- Ordering, billing, problem solving, and distribution of instructional materials; principles and techniques of providing successful leadership and conflict management skills.

- TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Administrative Services Credential or credentials of equivalent authorization issued by the CCTC required.
- Recent experience with program implementation in the area of child development, special education, or compensatory education programs
- Early Childhood Education program and/or afterschool program curriculum development and assessment
