What you’ll do
  • Put safety first—every job, every permit, every environmental requirement—no exceptions.
  • Direct daily work for E&I techs, contractors, and E&I foremen, ensuring the right people are on the right tasks.
  • Prioritize and schedule preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency work in partnership with Operations, Engineering, and the Senior Maintenance Manager.
  • Lead execution of the preventive maintenance program in a complex, continuous chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Be present in the field to coach, troubleshoot, and verify quality workmanship.
  • Support and maintain electrical distribution, process instrumentation, analyzers, and controls.
  • Administer and troubleshoot DCS/PLC systems and networked industrial control infrastructure.
  • Manage contractors to meet site safety and performance expectations.
  • Develop team members through training, feedback, and accountability.
  • Plan workforce needs, coordinate staffing and shift coverage, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering on process troubleshooting, repairs, shutdowns, and improvements.
  • Monitor backlog, work orders, labor utilization, and maintenance performance metrics via CMMS/SAP.
  • Coordinate spare parts identification and materials planning; keep shops organized and tools ready.
  • Champion continuous improvement in reliability, safety, and maintenance execution.
  • Handle other duties as business needs evolve.
What you bring
  • Associate/bachelor’s in electrical engineering, instrumentation, engineering technology, industrial technology, or similar preferred; equivalent E&I leadership experience considered.
  • 5 years of industrial E&I experience required; chemical, refinery, food processing, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • 2 years of maintenance leadership/supervision/coordination preferred.
  • Expertise with industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, analyzers, motor controls, VFDs, control valves, and industrial control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, process controls, and industrial networking preferred.
  • History of coordinating maintenance, setting priorities, and delivering results in a 24/7 setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and employee development capability.
  • Contractor coordination, maintenance planning, and scheduling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS/SAP and Microsoft Office required.
  • Massachusetts electrical license preferred.
  • Solid command of LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, line breaking, and contractor safety management.
Travel

Infrequent; may be required for training.

Work setting & physical demands
  • Extensive field walking throughout the facility.
  • Exposure to all weather conditions at times.
  • Work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Climb refining towers and storage tanks.
  • Use of tools and machinery requiring manual dexterity.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects.
  • Regular interaction with computers, test equipment, and technical devices.

Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
