Position Summary: Boston seafood processor is searching for an experienced maintenance supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing a maintenance department in an industrial facility, preferably a food manufacturing facility.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of an approximately 30,000 sq. ft. food processing facility.
- Supervise a bilingual maintenance team operating 24/7.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to maintenance staff, including scheduling and training.
- Schedule PMs of plant equipment and repairs to fit within a busy production schedule.
- Oversee various contractors, such as electricians, refrigeration contractors, plumbers, etc.
- Supervise ad-hoc capital projects.
- Ensure efficient tracking of work orders using our in-house Maintenance Management System (MMS).
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Clerk to maintain the inventory of spare parts.
- Liaise with management to address plant-related issues and work to improve plant operations.
- Hands-on involvement in all maintenance activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- The ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical and electrical issues (required).
- General mechanical knowledge, including knowledge of electricity, motors, gear ratios, valves, conveyors, pumps, VFD's, PLC's, control wiring, refrigeration, and hydraulics.
- Understanding of blueprints, drawings, schematics, P&ID's.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and particularly ammonia refrigeration strongly preferred.
- Basic Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, and preferably maintenance software such as Asset Essentials
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Basic math skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
