Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, independence, and personal growth in a group or one-on-one setting
- Support behavioral health and behavior management strategies to encourage positive behaviors and emotional well-being
- Collect data on progress and document observations accurately for program planning and reporting purposes
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining strict adherence to safety procedures
- Collaborate with team members, families, and service providers to develop individualized support plans tailored to each person’s needs
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or related conditions
- Home and community care experience demonstrating caregiving expertise in diverse environments
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving support
- Compassionate approach combined with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
